Loving the Lake!

Rating: Excellent
Review: The cottage was absolutely fantastic and had breathtaking lake views to boot. Conveniently located to the adventures we choose, including Saugatuck State Park and Crane's Pie Eatery, we were absolutely in heaven for our weekend getaway. It made it all the better that we were able to bring our furry friends! We will definitely be returning.

Wonderfal Fall Get-A-Way

Rating: Excellent
Review: We loved our stay at Brower Cottage. It is rare to find a great, clean house to rent that allows pets. The cottage is so quaint, absolutely spotless and is on a super piece of property. We enjoyed the lake every morning and evening. Two swans were floating on the lake every morning. Our dogs were in Heaven fetching their tennis balls on the lake and running around. There were 6 of us and the accomodations were very comfortable. The location can't be beat. We went apple picking at Crane Orchards and shopping in Saugatuck. Not to mention, the quick drive over to Lake Michigan and the great beaches nearby. Fall is a wonderful time to visit, but with all the floats and lake toys in the boat house, it is very tempting to come back in the summer!! Thank you for providing an awesome rental!!

It's More than Expected!

Rating: Excellent
Review: Our stay Brower Cottage for one week was the most satisfying experiences we've ever had. Everything was exactly as described and even better than we expected it to be. The place was impeccably clean and well equipped. The sleeping arrangements were all extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and everything worked perfectly. The rowboat rides out on Lake Hutchins were wonderful. Joe Bianco is a consummate host, calling to make sure we were pleased with everything, providing information about the area and activities we might enjoy, and more. The Salt of the Earth restaurant in downtown Fennville would vie with any downtown Chicago restaurant, and Joe was the person to steer us there. We dined there twice during our week stay. The desserts at Crane's down the road from Brower Cottage are extremely decadent in other words really yummy! The natural beauty of the area and the care and maintenance of the Brower and other homes in the community are already beckoning our return.

Review: We had a fantastic stay. No complaints whatsoever. We booked a last minute stay and Joe was extremely helpful in setting it up. Really good guy. The location is great. The cabin is very private and the view overlooking the lake is a pleasure to wake up to each morning. All the amenities are very clean and convenient. Plenty of things to do in the area and great places to shop and eat. The cabin is about a mile from downtown Fennville and Saugatuck/Douglas is one quick exit away. We would stay there again in a minute and very likely will.

What a Wonderful Property!

Review: What a wonderful property! Right on the beautiful lake. Property was clean & well maintained with a beautiful room overlooking the lake. The owner even called us the morning of our arrival to confirm everything was ready, then called again after our stay to confirm all was good. We will be staying here again!

Terrific Early October Weekend

Rating: Excellent
Review: WOW what a great lake view to wake up to! The cottage sits atop a hill, offering a fabulous view from the large windows in the living/dining area. That alone is worth renting the property for. Other reasons we chose this waterfront cottage were the proximity to downtown Fennville, Crane Orchards, nearby Sauguatuck, the fact that our dog was welcome, and last but not least, fishing right from the dock outside. The owner was very amicable and made sure we knew to contact him with any questions. They also provide a Brower Cottage binder with easy instructions, FAQs, restaurant menus, and pamphlets on things to do/see. It is nice to stay somewhere that feels quiet and secluded, yet is not too far from what the area has to offer! Another great thing about the cottage is that it has a lot of little things that you might forget to bring with you, especially in the kitchen, like tin foil and plastic wrap. We only cooked there one night but the extras came in handy. The whole place was very clean and very cozy and we wish we could have stayed longer. Overall a terrific weekend and we plan to recommend the place to our neighbors. Thank you!

Review: Thank you for a lovely weekend at your immaculately clean cottage. It is probably one of the best equipped cottages I've been to. It was a home away from home."

One of Our Best Vacations Yet

Rating: Excellent
Review: I highly recommend brower cottage. We have two boys 4 and 6 and the place was absolutely perfect. The swimming is great, fishing is excellent and views are wonderful. We truly had a wonderful time! Be sure to get some pie from Crane's orchard. It is one of the best apple pies I have ever had. Also, if you are in a need for speed one day you can rent a speed boat in holland and take it out on Lake Michigan. Overall, everything is very close by and easy to get to. The owner also does a great job making sure that every detail is taking care of so you have a nice stay.

Perfect Getaway

Review: We truly enjoyed our week at Brower Cottage. Ample space, plenty of quiet, gorgeous sunsets and views of the lake at any time of day. Absolutely loved sitting out on the dock with coffee and a book, taking out the rowboat, enjoying meals on the deck or indoors overlooking the lake. The cottage was equipped with much more than the bare necessities—you really need only bring yourselves! We loved being able to bring along our family dog, who enjoyed paddling around in the water and sniffing up all that fresh air beyond belief. Nearby Crane Orchards provided lots of fun cherry picking and pie tasting, and we really enjoyed venturing into town (Salt of the Earth - great place). All in all, we had a marvelous time, and hope to return next summer! Thank you, Brower Cottage, for a perfect getaway.

We'll be Back!

Review: Brower Cottage was the perfect getaway for my entire family (ranging in ages from 1 year to 56 years). Our tastes vary but the cottage is such a short distance from everything that everyone could do their own thing. The location is perfect - plenty of shade from the trees and an amazing view of Lake Hutchins. The fishing and the swimming was great! The cottage was fully stocked so that the only thing we needed to bring was food & beverages. I haven't stayed somewhere before that had EVERYTHING! We did bring a queen-sized air mattress that the living room had plenty of room for and still had room to fit the pack n' play next to it! The cottage itself was so clean and modern - a rarity in rentals in my experience. The entire family thought this was a wonderful place and we never agree on anything. We hope to make Brower Cottage a tradition.

Cozy Cabin

Review: My husband and I have never rented the away cottage, we usually opt for the Bed and Breakfast. We decided to try Brower Cottage to get away for a long weekend to kick off summer. We couldn't have chosen better! The property was clean, in perfect working order, the view from the deck and from the windows is fantastic. Things are Hutchins Lake are laid back and quiet. Sitting out on the pier with a good book is divine! The cottage is close enough to town to go have some adventures, go to the beach, do your thing - but it is SO nice to be able to come "home" and have your own little BBQ and relax. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great getaway. And, to top all of this off - the owner is so friendly and provided exceptional customer service - really exceeded every expectation in this department. Brower Cottage is Great!

Just as Special as the Year Before...

Review: We loved this cottage and the windows overlooking the lake. The cottage is very comfortable and doggy friendly, which is very much appreciated by us "good" pet owners. The owners are awesome. The lake, the row boat, the pier, the fishing, the campfire w/smores, a new restaurant discovery in Saugatuck, the apple picking, the dune rides, the pies and apple cider donuts at Crane's - oh my God.

What a Find!

Review: We spent a delightful week here in early Sept enjoying the well-planned, very well equipped cottage. The dock with Adirondack chairs was our sunset spot, having enjoyed the kayak and hammock during the day. The dog was in heaven swimming in the lake and were happy the deck was gated so we had no worries of her wandering off during dinner. The cottage was obviously newly renovated, nicely decorated with many thoughtful touches like lots of hooks in the bathroom. The cottage was very clean with linens and even fresh white towels provided. Views are amazing from inside, on the deck or down at lakeside on the dock. Adjacent to Crane's Orchard (great cherry pie) and near the towns of Fennville, Douglas, Saugatuck, Dunes, not far from Holland. So many options for outings, eating, drinking, fruit picking, sampling great local beers and wines. The owners thought of so many conveniences -- like a keypad to open the door programmed with your phone number! They provided many tips and suggestions on the local area. We highly recommend it and will be going back for another relaxing vacation ourselves.

Review: We had a wonderful time staying at Bower Cottage. The place was spotless and extremely well maintained inside and out. The attention to detail was perfect. Starting with the DVD collection, the row boat and board games, to the ipod compatible stereo, we had everything we could ask for. Being able to have our dog with us was the icing on the cake. All the members of my party were very impressed. The views are fantastic and the fishing was great. Thanks for a wonderful weekend! I would ( and already have ) recommended this property to my friends.

We Had the Best Time at Brower Cottage in October!

Rating: Excellent
Review: We had the best time at Brower Cottage in October - we went for a week-long honeymoon! It was everything we had hoped for and more, with all the creature comforts of home (and then some: cable, WI-FI, washer/dryer, video library, games, etc.) I can't say enough about how wonderful the cottage was and how much we enjoyed our stay. The hosts thought of everything and have such a beautiful, relaxing property - we can't wait to go back (our dogs too!) Thanks again for a fabulous honeymoon!

Review: The cottage couldn't have been more perfect. It was clean, well decorated, well equipped and had great views of Lake Hutchins. Our kids enjoyed kayaking, fishing, picking apples at the nearby orchard, roasting marshmallows and playing games. It is a great place to get away and enjoy the company of family. Joe and Jamie took care of every detail to insure that we had a great time. We will be back!

Magical Place!

Review: The view from the wall of windows facing the lake is worth the trip alone! The kids caught fish off the pier, the dogs thought they were in dog heaven with the pier and water. We loved the remodel, great taste in redecorating. The owners were great to work with and the cottage was well equipped. We want to stay there every fall! The area is awesome for kids and adults - dune rides, apple picking, haunted corn maze, winery, Saugatuck and Douglas just down the road and best of all, we just loved the peace and tranquility of the cottage (with swans on the lake I might add). Thanks for letting our dogs come too!

We Loved the Cottage!

Rating: Excellent
Review: The view from the dining and living room was beautiful. Very cozy and comfortable. It was just rehabbed so everything was new and clean. The pier was perfect for our dogs with stairs leading down into the water. It would be great for kids too. We really enjoyed the two-seat kayak - the lake was like glass. The location of the cottage was ideal. It was set in a quiet corner of the lake next to an undeveloped wooded area. You are also next to an apple orchard and just a few minutes from a winery - loved it! The owners are very helpful and considerate of your needs. A really great experience, highly recommend Brower Cottage! Thank you Joe and Jamie!
